Tungnath Temple: Sitting on the Pinnacle

   Tungnath temple, which is located on the highest peak of the world, is notorious for any reason. Yes, experts believe this only. 

  Tungnath temple exists at the summit of Tungnath mountain situated at Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand. This grand-divine temple situated in Rudraprayag of Garhwal Mandal has its own unique success story. Tungnath temple situated at a height of about 3680 meters above sea level, occupies the top of the Panchkedars.

  The Tungnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Experts believe this place of Lord Shiva is more than 1000 years old. It is believed that this divine temple was built to please Lord Shiva by the Pandavas. Due to the massacre in Kurukshetra,

   Tungnath is the source of three streams from the top of the mountain. There is an axonous river in it. Tungnath Temple is located about 3 kilometers away from Chopta. The word tungnath literally means God of the peak. Particularly that Lord Shiva's heart and arms are worshiped in the Tungnath temple.

  The architecture of the temple is very visible. The temple is a unique dimension of north Indian architecture. The grand statue of Nandi is at the entrance to the temple. 
   The idols of other gods and goddesses are also present in the temple. Idols of Kal Bhairav ​​and Vyas etc are special. The Tungnath temple is surrounded by snow-fields. 

   Therefore, the Tungnath temple is closed in the middle of November to mid-March. The Tungnath temple actually comes in Chopta area. Particularly that Chapta is covered with bamboo and vermilion of the temple area. 
  Therefore, it appears to be very scenic. It can be called a very beautiful sightseeing area. Chandrishila mountain top is peaked at a height of one and a half kilometers from this ancient Shiva temple. 

   The Himalaya has a divine-grand view from the top of the mountain range. Beautiful dimension of natural beauty is seen here. There are also musk deer reproduction forms on Chopta-Gopeshwar Marg. Here the musk of the oysters can feel the beauty of the near. Tourists can also do trekking in the Tungnath-Chandrashila area. 

   The saying is that Ramakrishna's chief hero Sirram Chandrishila used to meditate on the mountain. The saying is that Mahavid Ravana had done penance of Lord Shiva here. Situated in the middle of the Himalaya's natural beauty, this temple is the center of attraction of pilgrims and tourists.  

   The Tungnath temple is very important in Char Dham's journey. The responsibility of the worship in this temple is on a Brahmin family of Makkamath village. Looks for a glimpse of faith, faith and faith. Though there is a high altitude, there is less crowd of visitors in normal days.
