Dilwara Temple: Mahathirtha of Jainism

   The Dilwara temple should be called the Mahatirtha of Jainism. Dilwara is not only a religious place but a beautiful and highly visible structure of architecture. So it should be called a unique and amazing structure. 
The Dilwara Jain Temple located in Mount Abu city of District Sirohi in Rajasthan province of India is famous in the world due to its specialties. Dilwara Jain Temple is actually a group of five beautiful and magnificent temples. The special thing is that the structure of all these five temples is different. It is also called the Delwara Temple. 
   According to experts, the structure of these temples was made between the 11th and 13th centuries. This divine-grand temple is dedicated to the Tirthankaras of Jainism. 
   The Vimal Vasahi Temple of Dilwara Temple is dedicated to the first Tirthankara. According to experts, this temple is the oldest. Similarly Luna Vasahi temple is very popular. 
   This temple is dedicated to the twenty-second Tirthankara Neminath. This divine grand temple was built by the brothers Vastupala and Tejpal. This religious group of five temples made of marble is very visible. Particularly, the figures of the dancers are inscribed on the 48 pillars of the temples. 
    The Dilwara temple is truly an incomparable example of artistry. Finely carved and mosaic on marble stones is very beautiful and wonderful. The craft of these world-renowned temples is a unique treasure of aesthetic artistry. Along with Jain Tirthankaras, idols of Hindu deities are also installed in these temples. 
   The temple has an excellent entrance. Especially that the simplicity of architecture is seen in the Dilwara temple, while the excellence of Jain values ​​is seen. Dilwara Temple has Vimal Vasahi Temple, Luna Vasahi Temple, Pitlahar Temple, Parshvanath Temple and Mahavir Swamy Temple.
   Vimal Wasahi Temple: The Vimal Wasahi Temple is a beautiful temple carved on white marble. The temple was built by Vimal Shah, the minister of Bhul, the Chaulukya king of Gujarat. This temple is dedicated to Jain Mahatma Adinath. 
   The temple is situated in the middle of the courtyard surrounded by a corridor. Small statues of Tirthankaras are installed in it. The artistry of mosaic is made on sight. Corridors, pillars, arches, pavilions etc. are astonishing.
   Luna Wasahi Temple: The Luna Wasahi Temple is dedicated to Lord Neminath. The main hall of the temple is called the Mandap. This temple is especially known and known for its sculptures. 360 idols of Tirthankaras are installed in this temple. 
   The elephant room in the temple is special. It has 10 beautiful elephants embossed on marble. A black marble statue of 22nd Tirthankar Neminath is installed here. To the left of the temple is a large black kirti pillar. It was built by Maharana Kumbh of Mewar.
  Pitlahar Temple: The Pitlahar Temple is actually dedicated to the first Tirthankara, Rishidev, that is, Adinath. The Ashtadhatu statue of Lord Adinath is installed here. It is called Pitlahar due to the statue made of five metals.
   Parsvanath Temple: The Parsvanath Temple is dedicated to Lord Parsvanath. Lord Parshvanath was the 23rd Tirthankara of Jainism. It is a three-storied temple. This is the highest temple of Dilwara temple. 
   There are huge pavilions on the ground floor of the four faces of the sanctum sanctorum. The beautiful sandstone is seen on the gray sandstone of the outer walls of the temple. This ornamental craftsmanship enchants the devotees.
   Mahavir Swamy Temple: The Mahavir Swamy temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavir. Lord Mahavira was the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. The structure of this divine grand temple was built in 1582. This is a wonderful temple with carvings on the walls, especially that the temple is an incomparable example of workmanship. The extraordinary craftsmanship and architecture makes the tourists swell.
