This is the unique dimension of workmanship. Here is the idol of Ramnath. Its circular path is 400 feet long. Millions of tons of stones have been used in the construction of the Jyotirlinga Rameshwaram temple. Especially black stones have been used. The saying is that the stones used in the construction of the temple were brought from Lanka.

Janki ji noticed that the time of installation of Shivling was passing but Hanuman did not return. Janki ji made shivaling by sewing the sand from the sea shore. Seeing this, Shriram was very pleased.
At the appointed time, Shriram established Shivalinga. This small sized Shivalinga is called Ramnath. Later on the arrival of Hanuman, near the small Shivling, the big stone of black stone was established. Jyotirlinga is recognized for the main Shivling. Both worshipers worship darshan of Shivalinga.
