Mallikarjuna Mahadev: Kailash of the South

Mallikarjuna Mahadev has special significance in Shiva's Dvadash Jyotirlinga. The glory of Mallikarjuna Mahadev, located in Andhra Pradesh, has been mentioned in the scriptural texts. It is also called Kailash of South India.

Located on the banks of the Krishna River, it is considered as the second Jyothirlinga of the Jyotirlinga Mallikarjuna series that is situated on the summit of Srisail mountain range. It is believed that after performing Poojan-Urchin of Mallikarjun, sitting on the Srisail mountain, Ashwamedh Yagna receives the virtue of glory.
The scriptures believe that only the philosophy of Srisailam Shikhar is resolved with all kinds of obstacles and crises. Therefore, eternal happiness is attained.
The glory of Jyotirlinga Mallikarjuna Mahadev in Shivpuran has been described in detail. The significance and recognition of this place is based on Shiva family and centered. The mutual wrangle of Shiva Parvati son Kartikeya and Ganesh is mentioned.
Kartikeya wanted to be senior, because he wanted to get married first but Ganesh wanted his marriage to be the first. Shiva, listening to the context of sons, asked to revolve around the earth. Shiva said that the first coming of marriage will be done first. Kartikeya went out to revive the earth.
There was a problem in the front of the granite Ganesh but Ganesh was the ocean of wisdom and knowledge. Therefore, Goddhidev Mahadev asked Shiva and Mata Parvati to sit on a seat. After sitting on the parents' seat, Ganesh danced by doing poojan-archana and after doing it.
Thus Ganesha became the official of the fruits obtained from the orbiting of the earth. Kartikeya returned after the orbiting the earth and saw that Ganesha's marriage was done with the accomplishments and intellectuals of Vishwaroop Prajapati. Not only this, Ganesha received two sons Ratna from the benefit of siddha and the benefit of intellect by name.
Devshi Narad narrated to Kartikeya all the story. Swami Kartikeya has become dogged. Inspired Kartikeya took blessings of parents and went to the Cranpch Mountain. Devshi Narad tried a lot to celebrate Kartikeya but Kartikeya did not agree to return to Kailash. Parvati, who was flowing on the Krupanch mountain, with the separation of Parvati, was informed about Swachi Kartikeya three planes (about 36 kilometers).
After Kartikeya's departure, Shiva himself appeared as Jyotirlinga and came to power. Since then, this place has got the reputation of Jyotirlinga Mallikarjuna Mahadev.
